Asomdwee Fie (pronounced Ah-Soom-gee-Fee-a) Shrine of the Abosom and Nsamanfo, International. (AFSANI) is a Washington based non-profit faith-based organization with branches in the Eastern region (Akwapim and Central Region (Edinaman or Elimina) of Ghana. These important family Shrines are Nana Asuo Gyebi, Nana Panyin and Tegare respectively. The Asomdwee Fie, which means peace, unity, and harmony house, promotes Akan spirituality, traditional religion, and culture. In this time of great challenges for People of African Descent, this
organization is commited to retaining the values that we believe helped
us as a people to survive the atrocities of the past. Thus, AFSANI
is concerned with the preservation of traditional
Akan religion and culture. Asomdwee Fie is committed
to providing education and information about the spirituality and culture
of the Twi speaking people of Ghana. The organization fosters unique opportunities
for the consistent practice of spirituality, religion and culture in the
Akan tradition.
